Open Letters For Change is a collection of letters of concern to elected officials, to the media, thought leaders, or to others in positions of power. The comment following each letter lists the information sources and other details which you can use to compose your own letter for change. Together we can make a meaningful and positive difference in our world.

I went to see Hotel Rwanda last night. It's a wonderful film, and as I watched I asked myself what I had done to stop the deaths of 800,000 people. I was not satisfied with my answer. I could have done more. I should have done more.
At the discussion afterwards (and at many other discussions on any number of topics), we were encouraged to write letters of concern to our elected officials. I and others are willing to write, but it can be difficult to find the information one needs to write a cogent, reasoned, well-considered letter of persuasion.
So after the film and discussion, I pledged to write one letter of concern each week. It's a small act that each of us can do enact positive social change, hold our elected officials and media accountable and claim person agency. I'll publish some of my letters here, along with the sources of information and other details I use to write them. I hope that you will use the information provided to write your own letters of concern.
Use your words to make a positive difference in our world. It's the least we can do.
Here is the launch announcement from So what can I do. Enjoy!
